All products are from Stampin' Up, apart from the little gel pen, which is secured in a ribbon loop. The inside of the folder is also layered with matching SU papers. The "button" was created with the smallest die in the Framelits Labels Collection. The sentiment is from the Apothecary Art stamp set - the central image was cut out with a circle punch.
Folder measurements for a 4"x4" Post It Note-pad:-
Card-stock 11" long x 4 1/2" wide.
Lay the card flat, and score at 21/2", 3", 7", and 71/2".
( I would recommend doing a trial piece first, to make sure the folder will accommodate the Note Pad as the pad sizes may vary slightly).
Fold each score line - the shortest panel will be the overlapping flap. I rounded the corners, as you can see in the pics. I then added the patterned papers.
If you are attaching a small pen at the side of the pad, do this before you adhere the pad into the folder. I used grosgrain ribbon approx. 3" long - folded it in half, placed it around the pen, stapled the ribbon close to the pen (or you could use needle and thread). The loose ends of the ribbon were then adhered underneath the Post It Pad with cellotape.
Now attach the pad onto the centre panel of your folder, using Double Sided Sticky tape (extra-strong if possible).
Make a "fastener button" to hold the top flap in place.
The 3-d foam pads should be on the bottom half of the fastener only (but I'm sure you know that)!
