HLS March CAS Challenge

Hi everyone.  Time for the next CAS challenge - YAY! :)

Thanks again to all the joined in for the February CAS Challenge -Embossing.  We had over 130 entries - WOW!!  The winners will be announced here next week, so stay tuned!  :)

Here's our new challenge ...

There are lots of ways sponging can add colour, texture, and dimension.  Show us your favourite way to add sponging to a card, or learn something new by trying a new sponging technique.  Just remember to keep your card CAS (clean and simple).

At Happy Little Stampers, CAS is defined as:  clean and simple design with one main focal point, lots of white (or open) space, and minimal layers and embellishments.

Welcome to Susan, our Guest Designer for March.  Click HERE to see Susan's gallery of cards.  She has all her cards posted on a forum (no blog), so if you don't belong to the forum, please leave a message for Susan here.

Thanks so much for joining us this month, Susan!! :)

Here are our cards for this week ...

The card above uses the Emboss Resist technique, first heat embossing the image with white embossing powder, and then sponging over top with ink.

Kylie

The card above uses Emboss Resist with sponged distress inks for the butterflies and for the main panel sponged distress inks and stamped over the top with white ink

Loll

The card above uses sponging over top of a stencil for the background; and more sponging on the die-cuts to add colour and dimension.

Here are links to a few sponging tutorials on YouTube to help inspire you ...
