HLS September CAS Challenge

Hi everyone.  Welcome to the HLS CAS challenge for September.  We had lots of creative entries last month for our Masking challenge.  The team was so impressed with all the beautiful cards and the innovative ways in which people used masking.  Thanks to everyone who participated.  The winners will be announced on Sept. 10.

We did have a lot of entries last month that were not CAS (clean and simple) ... so please remember that this is a CAS Challenge and only CAS cards should be entered.  Thank you!

We are excited to announce that we now have a prize for the winning entry for the HLS CAS Challenges.  Happy Little Stampers had their first stamp release last month, and will now be sponsoring the HLS Challenges.

There are lots of ways to include colouring on your cards.  Whether you like using markers to colour images (alcohol, water-based ink or distress) ... or you enjoy watercolouring (paints, inks, pencils) ... or colouring with pastels or gelatoes, etc. --- there are many different mediums. And within each of the mediums are many different techniques.  Lots of options with this challenge. :)  Interested in trying something new??  Check out the video tutorials below and try a new technique, or use whatever you like best.  It's all about having fun and sharing our experiences.

Please remember to keep your card entries CAS ...

At Happy Little Stampers, CAS  (clean and simple) is defined as:

- one main focal point
- lots of white or open (no pattern) space
- minimal layers
- minimal embellishments
