Hey there! We are full swing into our challenges now. Just this one and our ATC challenge to go for October. Is time flying for you?
Before we get started with the challenge, we have some sad news to share with you.
One of our former Designers, Melissa Lane, has suddenly passed away. In the words of her husband Chris, Melissa went to be with Jesus.
Melissa was an amazing woman and far too young to be gone. Her husband and 4 children are absolutely crushed, obviously. Many of us here at Happy Little Stampers had the pleasure of meeting the entire family (including their pet rabbit) when the Lane's drove all the way from Germany to meet with us for the HLS Craft Retreat in the UK, 2016.
For me (Kylie), personally, that was a weekend I will never forget and am truly blessed to have Melissa and her family there. I am blessed to have known her and to have met her. We spoke at length about her family, how they couldn't wait to get back home once Chris had retired and settle down. When she skyped her parents, I had to say G'day :)
We had spoken on the phone a couple of times. We had spoken that after she had moved back to the US, I was to come and visit her on my next trip over from Australia. I won't get to see her now but I know that there is one more angel 'upstairs'. Though we and her family have suffered a tremendous loss... I am now lost for words. I am still in a state of shock. RIP our dear friend, Melissa.
As always our challenge is

ReplyDeleteSuch sad news about Melissa. I did not really know her, but I've seen her work through her design spots for several challenges and companies. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. And next time I see a butterfly, I will think of Melissa because I happen to know she loved butterflies.
