HLS January CAS Challenge Reminder #1

Hi everyone.  The January CAS challenge is now into week 2 and we've had an amazing start with lots of fabulous entries! :)  The challenge runs all month, so there's lots of time left if you want to join in ... or add a second entry... or more!  :)

At Happy Little Stampers, CAS is defined as:  clean and simple design with one main focal point, lots of white (or open) space, and minimal layers and embellishments.

Here are two CAS Watercoloured cards I made this week while filming a video tutorial on Saturated Watercolouring (link below).

The cards above use the Saturated Watercolouring Technique.  Check out the video tutorial below.

Saturated Watercolouring is one of the easiest watercolouring techniques that I've used.  I made a full card front piece (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") and then cut it up to create the two cards above.

Would love for you to check out the video ... and then maybe give it a try yourself.  Or use your favourite watercolouring technique to make a card.  Then link up below to join our challenge.

And if your enter your card at the Happy Little Forum as well, you'll automatically be entered for this month's random draw prize package.

I'll be back in a week with a sample of a different watercolouring technique.  Until then ... happy stamping!!

  1. Great video, I have been collecting water colour scraps from very bad attempts at making scenes etc so perhaps I should die cut them!
